OLEKSANDR ZINCHENKO’S shirt number at Arsenal was leaked on the club website BEFORE its official announcement.
The versatile Ukrainian joined the Gunners yesterday in a £32million deal from Manchester City.

Gabriel Martinelli has recently been unveiled as No11 after switching from No35, while No17 is currently occupied by Cedric Soares.
And it’s Martinelli’s old No35 that Zinchenko has gone with.
A blunder on the club’s official shop website – Arsenal Direct – showed Zinchenko as the club No35.

In a message on the club’s Twitter account, Zinchenko said: “Hey Gooners, just finished my first session. [I’m] so happy to be here with the lads.
“I will be your number 35, see you soon.”
The No12 and No28 were the lowest numbers available, but Zinchenko opted to go for the No35.

Martinelli and Mohamed Elneny are previous occupants of the shirt, while Lucas Torreira has worn the number briefly in pre-season.
Zinchenko could debut the number when Arsenal take on Chelsea in Orlando during the early hours of Sunday morning.
Elsewhere William Saliba remains without a number – despite reports yesterday suggesting he has agreed a new contract with the Gunners.
The 21-year-old has still never played an official game for Arsenal despite being at the club for three years.
