LUKA MODRIC surprised an orphaned six-year-old Ukrainian refugee by FaceTiming the brave youngster.
Ilya Kostushevych, six, lost both his parents following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and has since been taken in by Volodymyr and Maria Bespaliy in Kyiv.

Shakhtar legend Darijo Srna, who is now director of football at the club, organised the call with Modric.
A shy Ilya can be seen beaming from ear to ear during the call before covering his mouth in astonishment at seeing the Croatia star.
Shakhtar also gifted Ilya with a kit and boots and the youngster spent time playing games with Srna.
