Because of that it appears he has not really considered a switch to United, though refused to deny he has spoken to new manager Ten Hag.

De Jong’s comments also suggest United are yet to make a bid or meet his £65million valuation.
But the club is still pushing to sign De Jong, according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, who says a deal may be difficult due to the player’s desire to play Champions League football.
United are believed to have offered both the player and his club an ultimatum – stating they do not want the transfer saga to drag on and are willing to walk away from the deal.
