Jake Paul laughs off Kamaru Usman’s $100m fight contract and claims UFC champ is worth only 20 per cent of demand

JAKE PAUL has laughed off Kamaru Usman’s $100million fight demand – and claimed he is worth only 20 per cent of that.

Paul has been trading words with the UFC welterweight champion and Dana White over the past year.

And Usman confirmed he would fight the YouTuber-turned boxer in the ring – but it would come at the cost of $100m.

In an interview on The Journey podcast, Paul responded: “Usman’s not worth $100m, he’s like a $3-5million type of guy who’s owned by Dana.

“Whenever he gets let out of the contract, let’s make it happen, easy money.

“I already embarrassed Dana’s company by taking out Ben Askren and Tyron Woodley and I don’t think he wants that.

“It would be too much of a risk for him to let one of his fighters lose to me.”

Paul, 25, was last in the ring in December when he knocked out Usman’s ex-opponent Woodley, 39, in their late-notice rematch.

Woodley had been beaten on points four months earlier but replaced Tommy Fury, 22, who pulled out injured.

Paul added to KOs over online rival ‘AnEsonGib’, ex-NBA player Nate Robinson, 37, and retired UFC welterweight Askren, 37.

The American, who is yet to fight a recognised boxer, announced he will return in August.

But it looks as though it will not be against the UFC’s pound-for-pound best fighter, who has priced himself out in Paul’s opinion.

Usman had said on Club Shay Shay: “Jake Paul, he says, ‘We’re doing these numbers’.

“You can add up every fight Jake Paul has had and their pay-per-view numbers weren’t more than what I did in my last fight.

“They can say whatever they want to say. He can say this or that.

“Write me a check for $100million Jake Paul, I’ll be there to kick your ass next week.”
