MICAH RICHARDS unexpectedly took up the reins as co-commentator during Arsenal vs Leicester – and he did not let viewers down.

Sky Sports Super Sunday presenter David Jones informed viewers that audio issues had temporarily prevented Martin Tyler and Alan Smith from providing commentary at one stage during half-time.

Jones frantically asked if one of his panel could take over with Richards taking the opportunity to shine.

He said excitedly: “It’s my debut on co-comms this is fantastic!”

And when Jones and Jamie Redknapp challenged Richards on the task he delivered.

In a rather more serious tone he said: “Ramsdale on the ball” – cue laughter in the studio from all, especially Richards.
