ASTON VILLA are poised to make an audacious transfer swoop for FOUR stars this summer including Luis Suarez and Franck Kessie.
Villa – led by ex-Liverpool ace Steven Gerrard – are intent on breaking into the Premier League’s ‘Big Six’.

And they reckon Suarez and Kessie can help them penetrate the elite group, according to the Express.
Both players will be out of contract in the summer – meaning Villa can begin negotiations with the pair.
Suarez, 35, may be tempted to give the Prem another shot – after a successful spell with Liverpool from 2011 – 2014 where he scored 82 goals in 133 games.
The Uruguayan hitman, who lifted four La Liga titles with Barcelona and one with Atletico – may also be lured to the Midlands by the prospect of reuniting with former Reds comrade Gerrard.
The pair provided Liverpool with 100 goals and 52 assists between them during their spell together and also won the League Cup in 2012.
Suarez could also be swayed to join Gerrard’s revolution by the arrival of another former team-mate Philippe Coutinho – whom he played with at Liverpool and Barca.
Coutinho’s had a resurgence of form since heading to Villa from the Blaugrana on loan in January’s transfer window.
The 29-year-old Brazilian has hit the ground running at Villa – scoring two and providing the same amount of goals in just six appearances across all competitions.
However, acquiring Kessie may prove to be a harder task for Gerrard and Villa.
They’ll have to fend off interest from several major clubs including Man United and Barcelona for the AC Milan anchorman.
Plus, the 25-year-old Ivory Coast international has reportedly already agreed terms with the Catalan titans who are undergoing a revamp under new boss Xavi.
But Villa have already identified a few alternative options if their pursuit of Kessie goes pear-shaped.
Also on the Villa wanted list is another ex-Liverpool star Gini Wijnaldum, according to Birmingham Mail.
The 31-year-old Dutch ace has found it difficult to stake his place in Mauricio Pochettino’s star-studded PSG team and Villa could offer him a way out.
But unlike Kessie and Suarez, Wijnaldum’s still got two years left on his contract – so Villa will have to get out their chequebook to prise him away from Paris.
Several clubs including Arsenal are also said to be hot on his heels.
A third option on Villa’s radar is Brighton star Yves Bissouma, who they tried to buy for £25m in January.
However, Brighton are reportedly holding out for £50m for the in-demand 25-year-old who the Gunners also have on their wishlist.
