Cristiano Ronaldo shakes head at full-time and looks deflated after Man Utd drop points at home to strugglers Watford

STROPPY Cristiano Ronaldo shook his head in frustration at full-time as Manchester United dropped more points.

The Red Devils could find no way past relegation-threatened Watford at Old Trafford this afternoon.

And superstar Ronaldo was once again not afraid to show his emotions in front of his team-mates, coaches and 75,000 fans.

The crestfallen Portugal hero – who has previously stormed down the tunnel after matches this season – stood still on the pitch with his hands on his hips.

He wagged his head and spat out in anger to the turf.

The cameras then cut to Bruno Fernandes who looked equally as baffled that United had somehow failed to score in the 0-0 stalemate.

Ralf Rangnick’s side mustered a total of 22 shots in the 90 minutes.

Yet just three of those were on target against Watford’s defence, supported by ex-United goalkeeper Ben Foster in the Hornets net.

Ronaldo managed just one dribble, 18 completed passes, four shots and 36 touches in his 90 minutes on the field.

He was also flagged offside twice, including when he stuck the ball in the net, and was dispossessed three times.

Earlier on he kicked out at the net as he let his rage out after missing a sitter.

And the result could prove another major dent in United’s hopes of finishing in the top four.

They are currently fourth on 47 points from their 27 matches.

But Arsenal are just two points behind with three games in hand as the race hots up.
