CANELO Alvarez reckons he can get the better of both Anthony Joshua and Oleksandr Usyk – despite a huge weight difference.
Undisputed super-middleweight champ Canelo has been flirting with a shock move up to cruiserweight to challenge Ilunga Makabu for his WBC strap.
The Mexican’s planned move up in weight has led many to fantasise about how he’d get on in the heavyweight division.
And according to Matchroom Boxing chief Eddie Hearn, the four-weight champ believes he can get the better of both AJ and Usyk.
During an appearance on The MMA Hour, he said: “He thinks he’s completely unbeatable, and he thinks he can beat Usyk.
“I guess he thinks he can beat AJ, that’s just his mentality.
“He’s so good, arguably the best fighter I’ve ever seen up close, but even across the generations.”
Hearn promoted the hard-hitting Mexican for three fights, including his showdown with Brit Billy Joe Saunders last May.

Canelo, 31, is currently a free agent, but Hearn is hoping to entice him to sign with Matchroom and DAZN again.
He said: “When I got to work with him, we did Saunders, we broke the indoor attendance record in Dallas.
“It was a dream come true, really.
“I don’t want to sound like a fan-boy, but if we can get his signature for a couple of fights, I’d be over the moon.”
Canelo hasn’t fought since becoming the first undisputed 168lb champion with an 11th-round stoppage of Caleb Plant last November.
Talks over a showdown with WBC middleweight champ Jermall Charlo are currently ongoing.
Joshua and Usyk, meanwhile, are getting set to renew their rivalry in a high-stakes rematch, which Hearn last week revealed he’s hoping to stage in May.
