Man Utd boss Ralf Rangnick arrives at hotel with girlfriend Flor as he enjoys weekend off after Brighton clash cancelled

RALF RANGNICK has arrived at The Lowry Hotel with girlfriend Flor after Manchester United’s game against Brighton was postponed.

The Red Devils were due to take on Graham Potter’s side in the Premier League on Saturday lunchtime.

But a Covid outbreak on Monday was followed up with more positive tests on Wednesday as Man Utd’s squad was left decimated.

And their game with Brighton was swiftly postponed – the second Man Utd match which has been called off within a week.

Rangnick’s side’s game against Brentford – which was originally set to take place on Tuesday – was postponed following the first outbreak at Carrington.

As a result, the Red Devils will not play until they travel to St James’ Park to take on Newcastle two days after Christmas.

And Rangnick has taken the break in United’s season to head to The Lowry Hotel with his girlfriend Flor.

The German was appointed as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s successor last month.

Rangnick and Flor have been a couple for over a year, but rarely appear together in public.

She was seen at Man Utd’s 3-2 win over Arsenal earlier this month, but for the most part is not spotted in front of the cameras.

Rangnick has fallen out with star players, referees, management – and even his childhood sweetheart during his career.

He split with wife Gabriela – his childhood sweetheart whom he’d met at school when he was just 17 – in 2017.

The couple were together for over 40 years, share two grown-up sons Kevin and David, and seemed to have the perfect relationship.

News of their separation was only made public a year later, with Rangnick insisting no-one else was involved, and it was amicable.

The former couple even bought a house together in Mallorca for the family to use at the end of 2017.

Ralf, former boss at Schalke and Red Bull Salzburg, said: “Each of us deserves the chance of a new life and a new partner.

“Gaby and I have known each other for 42 years. She was 15 and I was 17 when we met at school.”
