Kylian Mbappe WILL join Real Madrid, promises Karim Benzema as he says transfer from PSG is ‘a matter of time’

KARIM BENZEMA is adamant that Kylian Mbappe will join him at Real Madrid one day.

Although Benzema, 33, isn’t sure when his France team-mate will make the switch, he knows it’s only a matter of time.

The current Los Blancos star told French outlet L’Equipe: “[Mbappe] said it himself. He wants to see something else.

“Someday he will play for Real Madrid. I don’t know when. But it will come.

“It’s just a matter of time.”

Mbappe, 22, has been right at the top of Madrid’s wishlist for some time but Paris Saint-Germain’s sky-high asking price has so far proved prohibitive.

The former Monaco starlet is now, however, set to be available for free next summer as his deal with the French giants runs down.

Liverpool are reported to be keeping tabs on the situation but Madrid chiefs remain confident they will finally get their man.

And Benzema reckons Mbappe would be an ideal fit as he has all the qualities that a player needs to thrive at the club.

In June, Benzema raved to AFP: “If he came to Real, that would be ideal.

“He is a player who has all the qualities to be a player of Madrid in the future, I hope so.”

While Mbappe hasn’t publicly admitted he’s about to join Madrid, transfer guru Fabrizio Romano claims he has privately told his PSG pals he will leave them to head to Spain.

Romano told his YouTube channel: “In the final week of August he told some of his team-mates I’m going to play for Real Madrid… in the dressing room he was telling some of his best team-mates, best friends.

“He really wants to join Real Madrid as part of his dream.”
