NOTHING could wipe the smile off Tony Adams’ face after Arsenal stormed into a 3-0 lead against Tottenham on Sunday.
The ex-Gunners skipper was delighted after his old team’s brilliant first-half performance – but Spurs icon Ledley King was far from happy.
Adams and King appeared on punditry for Sky Sports as the broadcasters covered the North London derby.
Following an incredible opening 45 minutes of football, presenter David Jones asked: “Hands up if you saw that coming?”
As King remained still, Adams laughed and stuck his right hand up in the air like Newcastle legend Alan Shearer celebrating a goal.
Jones chuckled and responded: “Oh Ledley, what a look from you! Crikey! Tony’s been grinning like a Cheshire Cat.”
To which a giggling Adams sarcastically replied: “Yeah, I’m not enjoying this at all!”
In fairness to Adams and King, their respective reactions were more than justified.

Spurs endured a nightmare first half as they capitulated against their bitter rivals at the Emirates.
Goals from Emile Smith Rowe, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Bukayo Saka gave the Gunners a commanding advantage.
Son Heung-min pulled one back for Spurs but it was a case of too little, too late as the hosts completed a comfortable 3-1 victory.
And Arsenal fans were loving Adams’ delight on social media, with one tweeting: “Legend!”
Another wrote: “Mr Arsenal putting his hand up like a kid on his first day at school… love it!”
And one fan tweeted: “I’ve never seen a man more happy in my life!”
Adams wasn’t the only Gunners icon loving the action on Sunday as Thierry Henry watched the game wearing a retro Arsenal shirt.
