PAUL POGBA’S amazing start to the new season is reportedly down to secretly holiday training sessions with NBA giants Miami Heat.
Pogba, 28, was in sensational form as he bagged FOUR assists in Manchester United’s 5-1 win over rivals Leeds on Saturday.
And the Athletic claims conditioning sessions with the Heat while on holiday in America helped Pogba be in the best shape of his career.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and his staff were reportedly blown away by Pogba’s physical status when he linked up with United’s pre-season training camp in Scotland.
Despite playing for France at Euro 2020, the midfielder used his trip to the US not only to relax but to undergo intense conditioning work with the Heat using weighs, medicine balls and stretch bands.
Pogba’s incredible display against Leeds was one of the finest in his United career.
And Red Devils fans will be eager to see if he can put in a repeat performance against Southampton this Sunday.
But one man not impressed with Pogba’s performance was pundit Graeme Souness.

The Liverpool legend dismissed the four assists as only to be expected ‘from a £100million man’.
And Souness also clashed with Micah Richards over Pogba’s future, with Paris Saint-Germain keen as he enters the final year of his United contract.
But plenty have since come to Pogba’s defence, including Old Trafford legend Rio Ferdinand.
He said: “When a man produces four assists on day one of the season, you’ve got to put your feelings to one side and say ‘you know what, well played’, because it doesn’t happen often.”
On Pogba’s future, Ferdinand added: “I think if he smells success and a winning period, there’s something that says to me that he’ll go: ‘I want to be a part of it’.
“That’s all he’s come (back) for. When I speak to Paul, all he talks about is wanting to win. He’s got a burning desire to do that for Man United.

“He grew up (at United) as a kid, he wants to be known as one of the guys that was part of a winning team.
“If he walked out of Man United, I know for a fact that Paul Pogba would look back and go: ‘(I) didn’t win the Premier League, didn’t win the Champions League. That’s not what I came back for’.
“There would be unfinished business.”
