BRAZIL legend Roberto Carlos has hailed England hero Luke Shaw as the best player at Euro 2020.
The Manchester United star drew comparisons to the Real Madrid icon in recent months following his stunning form for club and country.

The Brazil legend challenged the Manchester United defender to continue his stunning form[/caption]
Despite struggling with broken ribs, Shaw made three assists in five games to help England reach their first European Championship final.
The 26-year-old then scored the Three Lions’ only goal in the 1-1 penalty shoot-out defeat to Italy at Wembley earlier this month.
Shaw’s performances had led to him being dubbed ‘Shawberto Carlos‘ by his teammates, comparing him with the great Brazilian left-back.
When asked by GQ about the moniker, Carlos himself laughed before urging the defender to carry his Euros form into next season.
He said: “He [Shaw] was the best player in the tournament. He has to keep it up; he has to continue playing like that. That’s important.”
Carlos added: “I watched the entire Euros and the England team played really well.
“Losing is part of the game, part of football, and I really do hope that they can do well at the World Cup.
“If they can keep these standards up they deserve to win a trophy.”

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be hoping Shaw can return to United fit and firing after confirming that Alex Telles is likely to be out until September.
The Premier League side was hoping the defender would only miss ‘a few weeks’ but it now appears he’ll be out for some time.
Although Telles, 28, made just nine Premier League appearances last term, he was in line to start the new season due to Shaw’s extended holiday.
