PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN have made contact with Paul Pogba’s representatives over a potential blockbuster summer move, according to reports.
The French giants have been encouraged by talk coming out of the player’s camp that the midfielder is keen to make the move.
Pogba’s future at Manchester United is under scrutiny yet again with just a year left on his contract at Old Trafford.
And with no apparent plans to pen a new deal, PSG are growing increasingly confident of sealing a move this summer.
According to French publication RMC, the 28-year-old is ‘more than open’ to the idea of leaving United for the French capital.
United could be forced to cash in on his signature this summer or risk losing him for nothing in 12 month’s time.
That would be a last resort for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side who forked out £89million to bring him back to Old Trafford from Juventus in 2016.
Pogba was linked with a move away from United last summer but a £150million price-tag put off potential suitors.
Now his value is likely to have dropped to only around a third of that.
United are open to raising cash to bolster their own squad having already forked out £73m to sign Jadon Sancho.
Solskjaer is also eager to open the cheque book to land defender Raphael Varane and wonderkid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga.
PSG are enjoying a huge spending spree of their own.
They have already struck a deal to sign Sergio Ramos on a two-year contract on a free transfer as he follows Gianluigi Donnarumma to Paris.
PSG have also forked out just shy of £60m to land right-back Achraf Hakimi from Inter Milan.
