Manny Pacquiao endures travel chaos as flight to Las Vegas for Errol Spence fight is diverted to Japan due to emergency

MANNY PACQUIAO’S travel plans to Los Angeles were thrown into mayhem on Saturday, according to reports.

The boxer boarded a flight from the Philippines to Los Angeles but the plane was diverted to Japan due to a medical emergency.

Pacquiao and his team were then forced to stay at Haneda airport for three hours before having to fly back to Manila.

And according to Rapples, the 62-7 fighter then boarded another plan to America on Sunday.

He is set to begin training with Freddie Roach and strength and conditioning coach Justin Fortune on Monday, but now will not have much time in between to rest from his travel.

Pacman is set to begin preparing for his fight with Errol Spence jr. at Wild Card Boxing gym in LA.

Spence jr. boasts a record of 27-0 with 21 knockouts and currently holds the WBC and IBF welterweight titles.

But Pacquiao also holds two belts, the WBA (Regular) welterweight title and the WBA (Super) welterweight title, which he won in his last fight against Keith Thurman in 2019.

So while he may work as a senator in the Philippine House of Representatives away from the ring, he will fancy his chances against Spence jr.

The pair will meet on August 21 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, which will be Pacquiao’s 23rd fight in the city.

There is not much to differentiate the duo according to Ryan Garcia, who predicted a knockout without picking a winner.

Garcia is all too aware of the strengths of Spence jr. after the 31-year-old beat him via unanimous decision at the end of last year.
