DENMARK reached the quarter-finals of Euro 2020 with a brilliant 4-0 win over Wales in Amsterdam thanks to a Kasper Dolberg brace, Joakim Maehle and Martin Braithwaite’s late strikes.
The Danes dominated following an initially positive start from Wales and were ahead at the break before Dolberg nabbed his just after half-time. Maehle and Braithwaite then notched late to wrap up proceedings.

Wales have been dumped out of Euro 2020 in the Round of 16 after being thumped 4-0 by Denmark.
The Danes look a real tight-knit group of players, and after what happened to Eriksen in the group stages – they look determined to go all the way.
They will meet either the Czech Republic or the Netherlands in the quarter-finals.
Another Round of 16 tie is underway at Wembley, and Italy are taking on Austria.

DOLBERG AT THE DOUBLE
Kasper Dolberg left Wales feeling pig sick with a brace to send Robert Page’s side crashing out of Euro 2020 after this hammering, writes PHILIP CADDEN.
The Denmark forward gave keeper Danny Ward no chance with a superb arcing first-half finish with his right boot into the bottom corner.
Then Dolberg pounced on a poor clearance by Neco Williams to slam home just three minutes into the second half before Joakim Maehle and Martin Braithwaite sealed this rout late on.
Not even Wales talisman Gareth Bale could save their bacon as Page’s sorry side could only muster one shot on target as Denmark dominated this last-16 contest.
Harry Wilson was also red carded for a challenge on Maehle as Page’s side suffered a nightmare in Amsterdam.

Just minutes after the second half kicked off, Denmark found themselves two ahead and it was Dolberg again.
Braithwaite raced down the right-hand side and delivered a good cross into the penalty area.
Williams’ clearance fell to Dolberg and the striker made no mistake with the finish.
Maehle – who was absolutely fantastic as a wing-back on both flanks – got in on the act.
Brentford’s Jensen clipped the ball wide to the Atalanta wing-back, and he cut inside of Davies and fired into the top-right corner.
Minutes later, Wilson picked of Wales’ second straight red card of the tournament, hacking down Maehle late on.
Two out of the three red cards show at the European Championship this summer have been shown to a Welsh player.
And finally, Braithwaite finished the game off, finding the bottom-left corner from just inside the box.
The linesman flagged it for offside, the VAR overturned the decision and the goal stood.

The ball is worked wide to Braithwaite on the right flank, and the Barca man delivers a cross towards the near post.
But his effort deflects behind for another Danish corner.
