Jake Paul rejects Anderson Silva fight offer after UFC legend called out YouTuber but wants him on Woodley card

JAKE PAUL has rejected Anderson Silva’s boxing call out after the UFC legend outpointed former world champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr on Saturday.

The Brazilian, 46, made a winning return in his first fight inside the squared circle in 16 years as he earned a split decision victory over the ex-WBC middleweight king.

Following the upset win in Mexico, Silva turned his attention towards a future dust-up against the American YouTuber.

Former middleweight champ Silva, who holds the longest title reign in UFC history at 2,457 days, refused to rule out a fight against either Jake or Logan Paul.

He said: “Wow, in the future everything is possible. Both brothers, I respect them both.

“They’re good boys – smart boys too and I think that’s good for the future.

“Especially right now, everything’s changed in the world. People like to see the big shows. The entertaining shows.”

But Jake has turned down the challenge, and instead urged Silva to pit his wits against Roy Jones Jr on his undercard on August 28.

Paul, who has won all three of his professional fights by knockout inside the boxing ring, is preparing to face UFC icon Tyron Woodley.

Taking to social media, the 24-year-old tweeted: “Respect to Anderson Silva on the win. You are a Brazilian legend!

“Would be an honour to have him vs. Roy Jones Jr on the same card as Tyron and I.”

Paul recently declared that the ‘Earth will smile’ if he or his brother gets stopped in a fight.

He believes that the boxing world refuses to take him or his sibling seriously after they claimed fame through YouTube.

Quoted by TalkSPORT journalist Michael Benson, Jake said: “Imagine if one of us gets knocked out, the world would be so happy.

“The Earth will smile, that’s what people want.

“They want to see it happen because they don’t wanna respect us as ‘boxers’.”
