Three weeks ago, Ek announced his initial offer of £1.8bn had been turned down by club owner Stan Kroenke.
Despite Kroenke’s rejection , the Swedish billionaire confirmed he remains interested in buying the club he has been supporting since childhood.
However, the Gunners’ American owner and his son Josh released a statement at the end of April saying they remain “100 per cent committed to Arsenal and are not selling any stake in the club”

According to the Daily Mirror, Gunners manager Mikel Arteta is a “big admirer” of White after his impressive campaign with the Seagulls.
The centre-back amassed 39 appearances across all competitions and earned an England call-up.

ONANA’S SUSPENSION REDUCED – REPORTS
Andre Onana’s 12-month suspension for breaking doping guidelines has been reduced by three months, according to reports.
The Ajax goalkeeper – who is rumoured to be a serious target for Arsenal – was banned in February.
The Gunners are believed to be keen on signing the Cameroon international this summer but the potential deal could now be delayed until January or next summer.

Gary Neville has slammed the Premier League’s punishment of the Big Six clubs who attempted to join the European Super League.
Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Tottenham and the two Manchester giants have each been given fines of just over £3.6million, which they have accepted.
They have also agreed to punishments of a 30-point deduction and £25m fine if they attempt another plot similar to the breakaway plan in April.

BREAKING – ARSENAL CLOSING IN ON AJAX ‘KEEPER
Arsenal are close to signing Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana, according to football.london.
The 25-year-old Cameroon international is believed to be the Gunners first-choice target to replace current stopper Bernd Leno.
Onana is current serving a 12-month ban for breaking doping guidelines but is hopeful of getting the decision overturned this summer.
The ban began in February and the goalkeeper’s reported move to the Emirates may be delayed until January or next summer if it is upheld.
Onana has played 142 Eredivisie games for Ajax since 2016, winning two Dutch titles.

Granit Xhaka has agreed a five-year deal at Roma, according to football.london journalist Chris Wheatley.
The fee is believed to be in the region of €18million to €20m – around £15.5m to £17.25m.
ATLETICO REJECT UNITED BID
Atletico Madrid have rejected a formal offer from Manchester United for Kieran Trippier, according to Football Insider.
The Premier League side are believed to have tabled a £10million bid for the England defender.
Rumours suggest Trippier is keen on a return to the Prem this summer.
Arsenal have also been linked with the ex-Tottenham star.
FOUR PREM CLUBS WANT WHITE
Arsenal have joined Tottenham, Liverpool and Manchester United in the race to sign England defender Ben White, according to The Mirror.

Former Scotland international Stuart McCall has predicted that Arsenal ace Kieran Tierney is going to stand out at Euro 2020.
McCall made the same prediction for Liverpool star Andy Robertson and Manchester United ace Scott McTominay.
