THE Aviva Stadium in Dublin will no longer host a game at this summer’s European Championships.
Four games were originally scheduled to be hosted at the venue in Dublin but the ground has been dropped by Uefa.

The Irish government couldn’t guarantee the ground would be able to be at a quarter capacity for the scheduled games due to the Coronavirus situation in the country.
Uefa requires host cities to fill their stadiums to a quarter of their full capacity, but the 51,700 seater Aviva Stadium will not be able to do so.

- Group E: Poland vs Slovakia
- Groupe E: Sweden vs Slovakia
- Group E: Sweden vs Poland
- Last-Sixteen: Group D winner vs Group F runner-up
Three group stage games have instead been moved to St. Petersburg in Russia, while one last-sixteen game scheduled for Dublin will now be played at Wembley.
The winners of Group D, which includes England, will feature in the relocated last-sixteen clash.
They will play against the runners-up of Group F on the 29 June at Wembley, instead of the Aviva.
Eleven cities will host football games at this summer’s Euros in a special one-off event to mark the 60th anniversary of the first tournament taking place.

It’s not the first city to rule itself out of hosting games for the delayed 2020 tournament.
Last month Uefa announced that the games scheduled to be hosted in the Spanish city of Bilbao would be moved to Seville with the Royal Spanish Football Federation making the decision to move venues due to the pandemic.
The tournament is scheduled to get underway on the 11 June at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome as Turkey take on Italy in Group A.
