ARSENAL finished the season with a flurry against Brighton on Sunday.
A double from Nicolas Pepe was enough to seal a 2-0 triumph over Graham Potter’s team – but a late Tottenham comeback ensured they missed out on European qualification.

Here’s how each of Mikel Arteta’s players fared against the Seagulls:
BERND LENO – 6/10
Did not have anything to do first half but did well as sweeper-keeper and cleaning up any through balls.
Produced one decent stop to deny Jakub Moder in the second period.
CALUM CHAMBERS – 6
Almost allowed Aaron Connolly an equaliser just seconds after his team had taken the lead.
Did alright defensively but offered little support going forward from right-back.
ROB HOLDING – 7
Thought he had scored only for the officials to decide the ball had not crossed the line before judging him offside.
Did well alongside Gabriel and made a number of key blocks.
GABRIEL – 7
Solid defensively and so unlucky not to give his side the lead seconds before the break when his floated header struck the bar.
Solid enough defensively and worked hard to keep his clean sheet.
KIERAN TIERNEY – 6
Quiet afternoon by the Scot’s high-standards as he struggled to get into the game.

THOMAS PARTEY – 7
Decided to wear his shooting boots and seemed intent on getting his name on the scoresheet with two long-range efforts. Then cracked the bar late on with a real piledriver.
Was everywhere in the first half and was well on his way to earning the man of the match award until Pepe’s two moments of magic claimed it.
GRANIT XHAKA – 7
The much-maligned midfielder produced a hard-working display to round-off the campaign.
Won plenty of tackles, blocks and interceptions to help prevent what little danger the Seagulls could muster.
NICOLAS PEPE – 8
Finished the season with a real flourish and got rewarded for this bright display with a fantastic finish to break the deadlock.
That was his 15th of the campaign and it got even better as he slotted a second through Lewis Dunk’s legs and into the far corner.
Finally showing evidence of why the club forked out £72m for him.
MARTIN ODEGAARD – 7
Easy to see why Arteta is desperate to keep him as he hardly ever gives away possession.
He was denied a penalty in the second half but brushed off that frustration to tee-up Pepe for his second.
EMILE SMITH ROWE – 6
Much like he has been all season, was one of Arsenal’s biggest threats throughout.
PIERRE-EMERICK AUBAMEYANG – 5
Ghosted through the game – just like he has most of the season.
And with Pepe in this form, he is no longer Arsenal’s biggest goal threat. Disappointing performance from the £350,000-a-week striker.
SUBS – BUKAYO SAKA (ON 74 MINS) – 5
With the game already over, the starlet had little chance to shine.
ALEXANDRE LACAZETTE (ON 79 MINS) – 5
Had no time to shine on the final day after replacing Aubameyang.
GABRIEL MARTINELLI (ON 86 MINS) – N/A
