MANCHESTER UNITED may have a new star that was born at the Molineux.
Anthony Elanga, 19, took full advantage of just his second-ever start by thumping in a header to open the scoring.
With the small matter of a Europa League final against Villarreal, boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer rang the changes.
And it gave a golden opportunity for United’s future stars Elanga and Amad Diallo to show what they have in the locker.
Elanga can be forgiven for being a little too eager when presented with two early opportunities.
The first, he failed to control a brilliant ball in behind while the second he superbly shifted the ball onto his left before blazing high and wide.
But the signs were there and they were promising.
On 13 minutes, he had his goal when he produced a bullet header to latch onto Daniel James’ superb cross.
Elanga comes from a sporting background with his father, Joseph, a member of the 1998 Cameroon World Cup side.
He has been at the club since 2014, patiently biding his time in the youth ranks.
Elanga’s game is built on his pace and trickery and with Diallo alongside him, the pair can change the game in an instant.
His team-mate Diallo cost United a whopping £37million from Atalanta despite being relatively unproven in Serie A.
So they obviously have huge hopes for the up and coming superstar.
He showed potential against Wolves, switching from playing in attack to switching out on the right while also dropping deeper to collect the ball.
Diallo got himself into terrific positions and with the quality of Juan Mata behind him, found himself with the ball in and around the box.
He also played a superb pass into Daniel James to set the Welshman in on goal but he horribly scuffed his finish.
There was perhaps a lack of finesse at times but that will undoubtedly come with experience.

They’ll be much talk over the summer about United’s recruitment in attack.
It is no secret they want Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho while Erling Haaland and Harry Kane are also on shortlist.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will feel he needs to strengthen his numbers in attack but both Elanga and Diallo have shown glimpses that they can play more of a part next season.
