According to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, the deal has been confirmed but will not be officially announced until the end of the season.

The 28-year-old has confirmed he won’t be signing a new contract at Bayern, leaving the press to speculate about his next club.

Speaking in February, Alaba said: “I have decided to do something new. It wasn’t an easy decision.

“I have not yet made the decision where to go.”

Alaba has been linked with Premier League sides Chelsea and Manchester City, as well as French giants Paris Saint-Germain.

And a move to Real’s fierce rivals Barcelona has been rumoured.
