LYON ace Jean Lucas was involved in a terrifying car crash that saw him flip his motor – but incredibly escaped with minor injuries.
The 22-year-old Brazilian, who is on loan with Brest, was treated at the scene by emergency services before being taken to hospital.
According to Le Telegramme, ‘witnesses saw a motorist in a Mercedes drive in the left lane, swerve, then roll over, before finishing on the central reservation’.
Lucas was the only person in the car and no other vehicles were involved in the accident.
The midfielder has featured 16 times for Stade Brestois this season, fialing to score but assisting three times.
He joined Lyon from Flamengo in 2019 for a fee believed to be around £7million.
But he has gone on to make only 19 appearances for the French side in all competitions before being shipped out to Brest.
Lucas has featured once for the Brazil U23 team.
Brest are still not safe from relegation from Ligue 1, three points above the dreaded drop with two games to play.
And their final game of the season is away to title-chasing Paris Saint-Germain, who are desperately trying to overhaul Lille at the top.
A Neymar penalty was not enough as 10-man PSG dropped crucial points in draw with Rennes at the weekend.
Serhou Guirassy equalised for Rennes with a header 20 minutes from time before Presnel Kimpembe saw red late as the Ligue 1 race remains out of the champions’ hands.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side sit second on 76 points, three adrift of leaders Lille with two games to go.
