ARSENAL look set for a busy summer after a frankly abysmal 2020-21.
Under Mikel Arteta, the Gunners look set to miss out on all European football next season.
The North Londoners sit way down in ninth in the Premier League and crashed out of the Europa League at the hands of former boss Unai Emery – losing to Villarreal in the semi-finals.
Now it seems Arteta has seen enough and is set to rip his squad apart and build it up from its bare bones.
At least SIX big-name stars are set to be put on the chopping block in the coming months.
Hector Bellerin and Bernd Leno lead the way, with Lucas Torreira, Sead Kolasinac, Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Matteo Guendouzi also set to be sold at the end of their loan spells.
Arteta wants to raise at least £60m from the sales, but could be looking at closer to £100m if he plays his cards right.
And the Spanish boss is set to pour every penny straight back into his squad as he leads a brutal overhaul.
In goal, Athletic Bilbao ace Unai Simon is the No1 target to replace under-performing Leno, with Ajax star Andre Onana – despite the Cameroonian currently serving a doping ban – also on their wish-list.
Replacing Bellerin – who is desperate for a new challenge after ten years at Arsenal – will be another key piece of business for Arteta.

The Gunners boss is eyeing up in-demand Norwich ace Max Aarons after he helped the Canaries fight back into the Premier League.
However, Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Tottenham are just three big-name clubs who’ve also expressed an interest in the right-back in recent months.
Brighton ace Tariq Lamptey is also on Arteta’s mind, with the former Chelsea star enjoying a breakout season at the Amex Stadium.
Reinforcements at centre-back could be key, with William Saliba set to return from his strong loan spell at Nice.
But Arteta could also take a look at Borussia Dortmund youngster Dan-Axel Zagadou to slot in alongside Gabriel Magalhaes for 2020-21.
In midfield, it’s clear Arteta is desperate for a new look with even £45million man Thomas Partey struggling.
Rennes ace Eduardo Camavinga is rumoured to be the club’s No1 target this summer, with Real Madrid also interested.
But Arsenal are also looking at Sander Berge who starred for Sheffield United this season despite the club’s relegation.
The young Norwegian could be available for just £35m due to a clause in his contract allowing him to leave should the Blades drop down to the Championship.
Brighton ace Yves Bissouma is another midfield option, with hoards of clubs, including Liverpool and Manchester City, swarming to sign the Seagulls star.
In attack, Arsenal are likely to persevere with captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang despite his shaky season.
Alexandre Lacazette could be sold to raise funds, with Gabriel Martinelli fighting for minutes alongside Willian, Nicolas Pepe and Emile Smith Rowe in the advanced midfield positions.
Arsenal will likely try to convince Real Madrid to sell them loanee Martin Odegaard on a permanent basis.
But with Zinedine Zidane claimed to be keen on reintegrating the Norwegian into his squad in 2020-21, that looks unlikely.
