Manchester United’s game with Liverpool has been DELAYED after fuming fans stormed locked-down Old Trafford in a security breach.
A planned protest against the Red Devils’ owners, the Glazers, led to a stand-off with police at the entrance to the hotel just hours before the game.
Supporters chanted and lit flares next to the team bus as it waited for the squad.
And a demonstration featuring a large number of fans outside Old Trafford led to hundreds rushing onto the pitch.
Footage emerged online of fans chanting towards the Sky Sports television studio and cameras set up in the main stand.
One clip even showed a flare being hurled in the direction of the gantry, while protestors were also seen carrying the United corner flags.
Authorities managed to usher the crowds off the pitch but amid the chaos the match has been pushed back, but no revised kick-off time has been confirmed.
BILLY’S RIGHT TUCH
Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel picked out Mason Mount and Billy Gilmour for their performances in the win over Fulham.
Tuchel described Mount as the ‘full package’ and admits young midfielder Gilmour has convinced him.
Scotland teenager Gilmour was handed his first Premier League start under Tuchel and he made a big impression.
Tuchel told Chelsea TV: “Very, very good. He’s a confident guy, he’s well aware of his qualities, which is good.”

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has revealed he has been left ‘encouraged’ by the club’s summer plans after chief Josh Kroenke spoke of his excitement.
Despite the risk of being without European football next term, the Gunners are already looking at potential signings with Brighton’s Yves Bissouma being eyed up.
Speaking to Sky Sports about the Kroenke’s ambitions, the Spaniard said: “I’ve been really encouraged.
“I feel really positive about what we are going to do.”

Jurgen Klopp has claimed Holland would be risking Virgil van Dijk’s career by rushing him back for the Euros.
The Dutch defender was ruled out for the season after a horror challenge from Everton’s Jordan Pickford ruptured his cruciate knee ligament last October.
The Liverpool manager said: “I don’t want to hold Virgil back but you can’t force it as well.
“You are all long enough in the business to know that if you want to play you have to train before – and proper football training.
“It takes weeks. Not a week before. You cannot be 10 or 11 months out, train for one week and then play football. That is not possible, it should not be possible.
“No one is holding Virgil back – I can promise all the people in Holland that we cannot force it, and we will not.”
TRANSFER SERGE
Everton have reportedly joined the race to land Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero.
The Argentina star is leaving on a free transfer this summer and a host of clubs are chasing his signature.
According to the Daily Star, Everton are the latest club to express an interest in signing Aguero.
Carlo Ancelotti wants to strengthen his team’s attack and the arrival of the 32-year-old striker would provide a major boost heading into next season.
The Toffees are reportedly ready to offer Aguero a big signing on fee to convince him to move to Goodison Park.

Mauricio Pochettino’s son Maurizio has made his senior debut after featuring in Watford’s 2-0 defeat against Brentford.
The 20-year-old – who joined the Hornets on a permanent deal from Tottenham in January – has impressed since linking up with the academy.
He scored a sublime left-footed strike on his debut for the Under-23’s in a 3-2 win against Ipswich.
And he then found the back of the net in the victories against Millwall and Swansea.
His stellar form earned him a place on the bench for the Championship clash against Wycombe in March, where he was an unused substitute.
But he was rewarded with a first-team debut on Saturday as he replaced Dan Gosling with five minutes remaining at the Brentford Community Stadium.

The race is on to qualify for next season’s Champions League with a host of teams scuffling over the few remaining places.
Manchester City are already in the hat with Manchester United soon to secure their spot, leaving potentially three more spaces in the competition.
Typically, the top-four of the Premier League all reach the group stage with Leicester and Chelsea well set as things stand.
The Blues hold a six-point advantage over fifth-placed West Ham and Liverpool are a point further back, with both clubs yet to play this weekend.
Tottenham and Everton are also in the picture although the Toffees’ defeat to Aston Villa left them nine points behind with only five games to go.
But, as these clubs fight over fourth place, there is still a possibility that it still will not be enough.

Tottenham are interested in signing 18-year-old Brazilian wonderkid Rodrigo Varanda.
The 18-year-old Corinthians winger has been watched by impressed Spurs scouts over the last few years.
SunSport understands there have already been initial talks over an £8.5m deal to bring him to the Premier League.
He is out of contract next January, and is allowed to begin talks with over a free transfer from this August.
But the Brazilian side don’t want him to go for nothing, and want him to extend his contract to land a fee.
His team are believed to already be working on getting the correct paperwork for him to make a move to the UK.
Varanda can play anywhere across the attack, and is comfortable on both the left and the ring wing.

Luke Shaw has admitted Manchester United’s confidence is high heading into today’s match against Liverpool.
Speaking to the official United website, Shaw said: “I’ve been here for a long time now, so I know how important this [the Liverpool] game is.
“Of course the players do but most importantly the fans as well. It’s a game we’re looking forward to.
“Of course, we come off the back of a really good win so confidence is high and we’re looking forward to the game on Sunday.”

Kai Havertz pleaded with Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel to let him loose on Real Madrid.
The German scored twice to leave Fulham on the brink of relegation and stake his claim to start Wednesday’s Champions League semi-final second leg against the Spanish giants.
Havertz hit the target in each half and was unlucky not to grab a hat trick in a performance that a delighted Tuchel hailed as ‘perfect’.
Havertz said: “I scored very early so it gave me a little bit of confidence, it is always good to score and I’m happy to help the team. I hope I can continue like this on Wednesday.
“I’m always desperate to start games, I play football. But I know we have a lot of quality players in the team and the other players play well as well. I keep going, train hard and give my best.”
Chelsea emerged with no injuries and a clean sheet from a game which puts them six points clear in the all-important fourth spot.
ARTETA HOPING TO RECONNECT WITH FANS
Mikel Arteta is hoping to reconnect with the disillusioned fans who want owner Stan Kroenke to leave Arsenal.

Speaking to the United Review before the match, the World Cup winner said: “Obviously, every game is important but even more so against Liverpool; we know the rivalry between the two clubs.

Arsenal are reportedly confident of fending off competition from other clubs to prise Yves Bissouma away from Brighton for £30million.
The North London giants are known to be admirers of the Mali international, who is understood to be a ‘huge fan’ of the Gunners.
It was reported in March that Mikel Arteta’s side asked to be ‘kept informed’ of the 24-year-old’s situation at the Amex Stadium ahead of a potential summer swoop.
Liverpool have also been heavily linked with the ex-Lille midfielder as a potential replacement for Barcelona target Georginio Wijnaldum.
Reds legend John Barnes has urged his former employers to nab Bissouma, who has also attracted interest from Manchester United.

Jurgen Klopp may be forced to break up the band to kick-start a bid for new success next season.
The Liverpool boss relied on his Fab Three of Mo Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane to get the goals that brought Champions League glory then a first top-flight title in 30 years.
Salah, 28, whose deal also expires in two years, has raised doubts about his future. He revealed there has been no discussion on extending his stay beyond that.
The winger hinted that he was disgruntled earlier this season and he admits: “No one is talking to me about anything, so I can’t say much about that.”
But he insists his focus is still at Anfield, adding: “I said before that I want to win the Premier League again — and I want to win the Champions League again.
“It’s a great thing to win, I’m just trying to win it again and again and again because part of our job is we need to.”

Timo Werner became the first Chelsea star in eight years to reach double figures for goals and assists in a debut season.
A perfectly-weighted through ball to Kai Havertz helped make it 2-0 against Fulham on Saturday as the Blues strengthened their grip on a top-four place.
It meant a tenth assist on the season for Werner, 25, to go with his 11 goals in all competitions.
Despite attracting criticism for his slow start at Stamford Bridge, he has become the first Chelsea player to reach the double-figure mark for both feats since Eden Hazard in 2012-13.

Kelly Smith is backing Chelsea to steal Arsenal’s limelight by ending their spell of being the only women’s football club from England to conquer Europe.
And the Gunners’ icon believes ‘energiser’ Hayes will have her players ‘riled up’ to knock Bayern Munich out of the Champions League.
Smith told SunSport: “Emma was a young coach and still learning the trade when she was at Arsenal.
“But you could see she was hungry, passionate and a real energiser coach who really loved being out on the field.
“She got massive amounts of experience coaching in America after leaving the club and really developed Chelsea’s game. They are very lucky to have her.
