WAYNE BRIDGE has urged Chelsea to sign Harry Kane and Sergio Aguero in a double transfer swoop.
And he believes a new No9 at Stamford Bridge will make the Blues title contenders again as Thomas Tuchel reaps the rewards from the groundwork put down by predecessor Frank Lampard.
Chelsea are desperate to bring in a centre forward when the transfer market reopens at the end of the season.
Erling Haaland is the No1 target – as he is for plenty of European powerhouses – but Kane’s future remains unclear while Aguero will be released by Manchester City this summer.
Bridge told bettingexpert.com: “I’d love to see Kane go there, I think he’s brilliant. Sometimes money talks.
“If you look at how Tottenham are doing at the moment, I think there’s a great chance he could end up leaving if he wants to go and win something.
“I’m not sure if he would go, but I’d love to see him come in and start banging in goals for Chelsea.
“Chelsea have to be careful with who they buy but I’ll be very surprised if they didn’t bring another striker in.
“There could be a few of these players moving – Haaland and [Kylian] Mbappe – and I’d love to see Chelsea snap one of them up, even Aguero.
“He’s leaving City and I don’t think he’s past it, he’s always going to get you goals.

“When I played with him at City he was just unbelievable and I think he’s still got it.”
Tammy Abraham, Jorginho and Mason Mount are Chelsea’s joint-top goalscorers in the Premier League this season on six with Timo Werner and Kurt Zouma next on five.
But it is clear the Blues are missing a new central striker after years with the likes of Didier Drogba and Diego Costa.
Bridge added: “Abraham and Olivier Giroud have done well, Kai Havertz has been playing better and Werner has shown glimpses when playing out wide and he looks quite good out there.
“I look at my time at Chelsea and we had Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, Eidur Gudjohnsen, Didier Drogba and Nicolas Anelka, then after my time Diego Costa, and I don’t see a player in the current team as good as any of these were.
“Strikers at Chelsea have something to prove and the ones we had were world class.
I take my hat off to Tuchel, he’s come from a totally different league and he’s doing well
Wayne Bridge
“When you are bought for a fee everyone expects you to hit the ground running and I think there’s pressure on you no matter what, but at Chelsea having people like Drogba and Costa means new players have to live up to that pressure as well.”
Chelsea sit fifth in the Premier League table, one point behind West Ham in fourth with seven games to go.
And the former left-back believes Tuchel’s side are in a strong position to secure a top-four finish and Champions League football in West London next season – in part thanks to Lampard’s efforts during his 18 months in charge.
Bridge added: “I’d love to see Chelsea finish in the top four. It’s not going to be easy but they have a great chance now they’re playing well under Tuchel. They are definitely heading in the right direction.
“Lampard did well and brought a lot of the younger players through and gave them chances and now they’re doing well under the new manager.
“I take my hat off to Tuchel, he’s come from a totally different league and he’s doing well at the moment and they do look a lot better than how they were.
“They’re a young squad and I’d like to see them keep the majority of their young players together and see them improve together and hopefully be where Chelsea were at the top of the league and fighting for every trophy.”
