ARSENAL escaped a serious injury blow after seeing Martin Odegaard limp off injured on Wednesday night.
The midfielder, 22, was withdrawn at half-time of Norway’s 3-0 win over Gibraltar with an apparent ankle problem.
But Gunners boss Mikel Arteta will breathe easy after it was confirmed the injury is not too serious.
Norway manager Stale Solbakken said: “It’s not a serious injury. I have big hopes that Martin will be fit for the game against Turkey on Saturday.”
And Odegaard added: “I twisted my ankle, but I think I will be fit for the game on Saturday.”
Odegaard joined on loan from Real Madrid with a view to making his move permanent.
And his form in a red shirt has gone down well with Gunners fans.
The Gunners still have an outside chance of making it into the European places in the Premier League table.
And Arteta’s men face Slavia Prague in the Europa League quarter-finals.

Gunners chiefs are growing in confidence that the Real Madrid loanee will stick around beyond his initial six-month spell.
Odegaard, 22, told Arilas Ould-Saada while on international duty: “I haven’t thought about what’ll happen in the summer.
“The deal with Arsenal is until the end of the season, we’ll see what happens. I’ve said things before that I still stand for – stability and development are key words.”
Norway cruised to a 3-0 win against Gibraltar, scoring two goals just before the break through Alexander Sorloth and Kritsian Thorstvedt.
Jonas Svensson was also on target in the second half.
