Furious Bruno Fernandes tears into Man Utd defending and blasts ‘it can’t be possible’ after throwing away Everton lead

BRUNO FERNANDES has blasted Manchester United’s defending and claimed Everton’s 3-3 comeback draw ‘can’t be possible’.

Fernandes fumed at United blowing a 2-0 lead and conceding Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s 95th-minute equaliser from a routine free-kick.

Man Utd skipper Harry Maguire played Everton onside from the free-kick in the build-up to Dominic Calvin-Lewis’s leveller deep in stoppage time

The midfield superstar was in no mood to celebrate firing the pick of the goals in a thrilling clash as second-placed United have now earned just five points from their last four Premier League games.

Fernandes told Premier League Productions: “We are conceding goals every game, we are conceding goals a lot of times and at home we concede too many goals.

“Too many bad results at home and this can’t be possible.

“I think we have to win this game after being 2-0 up.

“It doesn’t matter how. You concede two goals and you come again and you score again.

“It’s impossible to concede another goal again, from a free-kick in the half of the pitch, we concede a goal from there and the way we concede.”

David de Gea was blamed by many for the Abdoulaye Doucoure goal that sparked Everton’s revival on Saturday evening.

Replays then showed United skipper Harry Maguire played FOUR Toffees’ stars onside as England team-mate Calvert-Lewin pounced for a point-saver – with De Gea criticised once more, this time for staying on his line.

Fernandes pointed no fingers at individuals but did accept United might have got complacent.

When asked, he replied: “Maybe this was the problem, I don’t know. I don’t feel that.

“I don’t know what my team-mates feel but we can’t feel that until the game is over.

“And as you see we concede the goal in the last seconds of the game.”

Doucoure and James Rodriguez had struck early in the second half to cancel out Fernandes’ fierce drive and an Edinson Cavani header.

Scott McTominay rose to restore United’s advantage with 20 minutes left.

But Calvert-Lewin’s quick reactions deep in stoppage time wiped out United’s after-glow from last Tuesday’s record-equalling 9-0 defeat of Southampton.
