Hulk has signed a two-year deal with Atletico Mineiro and the 34-year-old could finish his career at the club.

The forward has spent four years in China at Shanghai SIPG and recently left.

His departure put Premier League clubs on alert and he received offers to move to England.

But Hulk has decided a return to Brazil is the best move at this stage of his career.

The experienced striker left Shanghai at the end of last year after rejecting the offer of a new contract.

Speaking recently, Hulk said: “I am listening to many proposals from Brazil and many places including in Europe.

“[I have offers from] Turkey, Portugal, England, Spain, Italy, Germany – and I also have an offer from China.

The former Brazil international enjoyed a successful career at Porto and Zenit St Petersburg before his lucrative transfer to China.

Hulk, who started off his career playing for Sau Paulo and Esporte Clube Vitoria, will now return to his homeland for a stint with Atletico Mineiro.
