Man Utd star Scott McTominay goes off with upset stomach in crunch Arsenal clash in huge blow to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

MANCHESTER UNITED were dealt a huge blow after Scott McTominay went off with what appeared to be an upset stomach at Arsenal.

The Scottish midfielder, 24, has been a mainstay in the heart of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s midfield this season.

But McTominay went off clutching his stomach just over half an hour into first-half of the massive game at the Emirates – which ended 0-0.

The United midfielder appeared to be struggling for much of the first-half, with his mobility clearly hampered.

McTominay was eventually replaced by Anthony Martial, who had been dropped in favour of Edinson Cavani for the London showdown.

Paul Pogba – who had started in a wide position – slipped back into McTominay’s role with the game evenly poised.

Interestingly, Solskjaer opted for Martial instead of Donny van de Beek – a more like-for-like option.

Van de Beek came off the bench during the 2-1 loss to Sheffield United.

That game was his first appearance in the Premier League since the December 20 thumping of Leeds.

But he was snubbed in favour of Martial in a bold move from Solskjaer at the Emirates – with the Frenchman ultimately unable to help break the deadlock.

Meanwhile, United were given a boost earlier on Saturday after new-boy Amad Diallo scored twice for the Under-23s.

Diallo, 18, starred in a 6-3 win over Liverpool, even netting a cheeky Panenka penalty.

The winger completed his move from Atalanta earlier this month and recently enjoyed his first training session at United.
