Jack Wilshere picks Bukayo Saka as Arsenal’s BEST player and says Mikel Arteta is ‘building something special’

JACK WILSHERE reckons Bukayo Saka is the best player at Arsenal.

The 29-year-old, who left the Emirates after ten years with the Gunners in 2018, also believes Mikel Arteta is ‘building something special’ as he continues to turn around their dreadful start to the season.

Wilshere called on his social media followers to ask him questions on Twitter, which led to a number of Arsenal-related inquiries.

During the Q&A, Wilshere was asked: “Best Arsenal player in the squad right now?”

And the ex-England man responded with a straight answer, saying: “Saka! What a player.”

Saka already has four goals and one assist in 17 Premier League games for Arsenal this season and has become an integral part of Arteta’s side.

The 19-year-old’s impressive form has also seen him receive a call-up to the England squad and he has already appeared four times for Gareth Southgate’s side.

Another of Wilshere’s followers then asked: “Before signing with Bournemouth, did you have contacts with Arsenal?

“And if it would be possible, would you like to play under Arteta?”

Wilshere then gave another honest response, posting: “No contact. Arteta is a great coach but he has a good squad there and they are building something special.”

Arsenal are unbeaten in their last five Premier League games, winning all of them bar the goalless draw with Crystal Palace.

However, they were knocked out of the FA Cup on Saturday as the holders bowed out in the fourth round following a 1-0 defeat to Southampton.
