Crystal Palace braced for Wilfried Zaha January transfer scramble if Mauricio Pochettino takes over as PSG boss

CRYSTAL PALACE are bracing themselves for another big Euro swoop for Wilfried Zaha if Mauricio Pochettino becomes Paris Saint-Germain boss.

SunSport revealed exclusively yesterday that AC Milan are eyeing a £50million bid for the forward.

But Eagles chiefs fear the Italians will not be the only giants looking to bag their Ivory Coast ace in next month’s transfer window if, as expected, Pochettino takes over at PSG.

The former Tottenham and Southampton boss is odds-on favourite to be appointed by the French champions following confirmation of Thomas Tuchel’s sacking on Tuesday — six days after telling him to pack his bags.

SunSport understands Poch, who spent two years at PSG as a player, will be given a huge war chest to spend straightaway.

He has already been linked with moves for his former Spurs stars Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen, who has been told he can leave by Inter Milan.

And Palace believe Pochettino will come back in for Zaha, having tried — and failed — to sign him during his time at Tottenham.

The Eagles academy  graduate is one of the game’s hottest properties since returning in 2014 after his move to Manchester United turned sour.

But Zaha, now 28, has made no secret of his desire to test himself again at the highest level.

Palace do not want to sell their main man, having given him a five-year deal worth £130,000 a week in 2018, making him the club’s highest-paid player ever.

Zaha showed his worth again by netting a stunning volley in Palace’s 1-1 draw with Leicester on Monday.

It was his eighth goal of the season and boss Roy Hodgson said: “He is getting a lot of praise and it is fully deserved.

“We are pleased with the effort and desire he is showing. He is an exceptionally good player.”

Piers Morgan rages at Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta and said the club should have signed Zaha
