Watch N’Golo Kante’s bizarre handball as Chelsea ace CATCHES throw-in during Wolves loss

N’GOLO KANTE left fans perplexed during Chelsea’s 2-1 loss at Wolves after CATCHING a throw-in.

The Blues threw away a 1-0 lead as Pedro Neto bagged a last-gasp winner for the hosts at Molineux.

But the strangest moment came with 15 minutes on the clock.

Chasing all three points, Kante seemingly completely forgot how to play football.

Mason Mount took a throw-in from the left aimed at Kante, with the England man keen to get on with it.

But the France star bizarrely caught the ball, with Wolves players quickly protesting and a free-kick being awarded to the hosts.

It was unclear what prompted Kante to catch the ball, although some viewers claimed he heard a whistle.

Olivier Giroud had earlier given Chelsea a lead to keep his red-hot run of form alive.

But Daniel Podence equalised with Frank Lampard’s side lacking their edge in the second-half.

And Neto would go on to snatch all three points for Wolves as he rifled home a thunderbolt of a left-footed strike past the outstretched arms of Edouard Mendy.

The defeat meant Chelsea missed the chance to go top of the Premier League after Tottenham and Liverpool both dropped points at the weekend.

Blues boss Lampard later reflected on the game, saying he was ‘very disappointed’ after throwing away three points.

Lampard told Amazon Prime: “We should see the game out at 1-0.

“If you’re not playing well, don’t allow counter-attacks and we did.

“Performance is what gives you results. We we were playing very well and maybe the lads think ‘we’re playing well’.

“When you think you’re playing well, things like this happen.

“This is the Premier League. If you don’t perform you lose games.”
