THE pressure is mounting on Mikel Arteta after Arsenal slipped to another defeat against Burnley.

Here’s how Sun Sport’s Oscar Paul rated each of the Gunners players:
Bernd Leno – 5/10
Was a bystander for the most part and could do little as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang nodded in an own goal.
The German’s passing out from the back – which never inspires confidence – was hit-and-miss again.
Hector Bellerin – 3
Part of the calamitous defending to allow Chris Wood in early on, failing to step up with Gabriel.
Got up the flank but, alongside Willian, Arsenal’s right-hand side was totally ineffective.
Gabriel – 4
A shocking start should have been punished by Chris Wood, with the Brazilian all at sea allowing the Kiwi to ghost in behind.
Recovered somewhat and flashed a header wide at the other end.
Rob Holding – 5
Found himself free in the first-half but could only divert his header over.
Hardly a physical presence, though, as Arsenal looked shaky from set-pieces against Sean Dyche’s giants.
Kieran Tierney – 6
Offers so much more down the left compared to fellow full-back Hector Bellerin.
The cross wasn’t always on point but he didn’t stop bombing on and went close on his right foot at the start of the second half.
Granit Xhaka – 1
Another horror show for the midfielder, and surely there is no way back now after letting down his side again after being shown a red card.

Mohamed Elneny – 4
Lucky not to be given a red himself after throwing his arms into James Tarkowski’s face.
Industrious in the middle of the park but predictably little else as desperate Arsenal needed to impose themselves.
Bukayo Saka – 6
One of the better performers and looked dangerous combining with Kieran Tierney down the left.
Forced Nick Pope into a smart stop early in the second half and is one of the few to come out with credit.
Willian – 3
Lucky to start after a shocking run and did nothing to convince Arsenal fans he should not be benched permanently.
Gave the ball away too easily and offered no threat in behind. Slightly brighter after the break but Brazilian’s confidence looks shot to bits.

Alexandre Lacazette – 5
Fluffed an early volley and spurned a golden chance from Kieran Tierney’s cut back, firing first time at Nick Pope with the goal gaping.
Tried to get things going in the number 10 role but lacked the killer pass to play others in.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang – 3
At least the goal drought is over!
While he never looked like scoring at the right end, the skipper popped up to nod into his own net to cap one of the most miserable nights in Arsenal’s history.
Subs:
Dani Ceballos – 5
One for Lacazette after an hour but failed to inspire 10-man Arsenal.
Ainsley Maitland-Niles – 5
Fans are desperate for him to start and he replaced Hector Bellerin with 16 minutes to go. Showed a bit of energy to get things going in a team drained of all hope.
