ANTHONY YARDE is up against Lyndon Arthur in a tough fight at Church House in Westminster.

Yarde hasn’t been in a competitive fight since the loss to Sergey Kovalev in August 2019.

    Yarde goes for broke and lands heavy.

    But Arthur sings in his own right hand.

    Arthur is hurt,m he is holding on and Yarde smells blood.

    Arthur just needs to last a few more seconds.

  • ROUND ELEVEN

    Yarde launches a huge looping haymaker but Arthur expects them and strolls away.

    Yarde stalks and thrashes but that leaves him easy to jab.

    Close round to call but Arthur should be comfortably ahead before the final round.

  • ROUND TEN

    Yarde starts fast and Arthur has to backtrack.

    Arthur oparries a couple of Yarde power shots and scores back with another jab.

    Arthur has an answer for everything Yarde throws.

    And Arthur’s fans mock Yarde’s ‘Lions In The Camp’ catchphrase with KITTENS IN THE CAMP cries

  • ROUND NINE

    Team Yarde cheer when a right hand lands but it wasn’t clean otherwise Arthur would be decked right now.

    Arthur sneers as the bell rings and his fans shout “game over”.

    Can Yarde rescue this with a late KO saviour?

  • ROUND EIGHT

    Yarde unleashes an acceptable amount of right hands, finally.

    But Arthur still tags him with jabs.

    Arthur’s pals are yelling from the rafter’s that Yarde’s engine is going now and that he is broken.

    The champ gets some shots away in a close bout.

  • ROUND SEVEN

    Yarde finally lands a jab and then a right hand to the body and a double jab.

    Arthur has either taken a round off or Yarde has finally round his feet.

    Yarde could not evade the Kovalev jab and now he can’t duck Arthur’s.

  • ROUND SIX

    Six deep now and Yarde still cannot defend the jab that is flying up from Arthur’s waist.

    This is so similar to Joyce vs Dubois last week.

    Yarde lands with his first decent right hand but Arthur’s chin passes the test.

  • ROUND FIVE

    Yarde throws a few right hands that get past Arthur’s guard but barely graze his shaved head.

    Once again an Arthur double jab seems to win him the round.

    Yarde throws a left hook but it’s another razor ftighht stanza.

  • ROUND FOUR

    Yarde finally lands a right hand that gets his people inside the room excited.

    But Arthur’s jab remains a pest of a weapon every time it finds Yarde’s nose.

    Both men end the session smiling as Yarde deflects an Arthur right hand with his shoulder.

  • ROUND THREE

    Arthur scores a hat-trick with a double jab that Yarde failed to defend.

    And the rocks the Londoner’s head back with the stiffest one of the night.

    Yarde is looking for power shots because he left arm is too short to land jabs.

  • ROUND TWO

    Arthur scored with another jab and the right hand Yarde threw was caught on the Manchester man’s arms.

    Arthur dodged another left hook and then scored with another jab.

    Arthur’s friends and family were in the crowd making it very awkward for Yarde.

  • ROUND ONE

    Arthur earned the super-cautious opener with a handful of jabs.

    Flyweight Sunny Edwards was up in the balcony guiding Arthur through every moment and even taunting Yarde.

  • KING ARTHUR ARRIVES

    Lyndon keeps Yarde waiting with a long and slow ringwalk.

    If Arthur can survive the first few rounds, when Yarde is explosive and hungry, he could take control down the back.

    Will Yarde be able to take away his height and reach advantages?

    McCann has blown away some cobwebs and learned some lessons against a game opponent.

  • ROUND EIGHT

    Last round starts with McCann evading a Matos haymaker and tagging him with a little right hook.

    Matos looks hurt again as he freezes after shipping a couple of punches but he braves on again.

    Matos’ legs wobbled but he will not fold into the canvas.

  • ROUND SEVEN

    Matos was hurt at the end of the sixth but McCann refused to rush in.

    Stopping the visitor will make a big statement on TV.

    Matos has felt a few more left hands in his face but he is tucking-up and leaving McCann very few openings.

  • ROUND SIX

    McCann starts tagging Matos early and the hard Portuguese urges “come on”.

    Right hands to body and head land from McCann but Matos keeps charging forward.

    Matos enjoys some success with McCann up against the ropes but the Englishman bangs himself back into control.

  • ROUND FIVE

    Matos looks hurt but he won’t go over.

    McCann is getting support and advise from all over the room.

    Matos hurls a right hand but McCann ducks it beautifully to end the stanza.
