Lennox Lewis reveals Mike Tyson texted him to warn him Piers Morgan was ‘so BORING’ after appearing drowsy on GMB

MIKE TYSON messaged Lennox Lewis to warn him that Piers Morgan is ‘boring’ before his interview on Good Morning Britain.

Heavyweight veteran Tyson, 54, left fans fearing for his health after he appeared on the show last month ahead of his comeback.

Tyson mumbled his words, spoke incoherently, drooped his head several times and even closed his eyes.

Presenter Morgan, 55, made reference to this as he interviewed Lewis, 55, on Monday morning.

But it turned out that Tyson had already been in touch with Lewis to give him some advice.

During the interview, Morgan said : “The last heavyweight champ we spoke to was Mike Tyson, it looked like he fell asleep half way through our interrogation.”

Co-presenter Susanna Reid said: “Please don’t do that.”

Before Morgan added: “Can I just confirm that you are wide awake?”

Three-time heavyweight champ Lewis responded: “I am wide awake!”

“He actually sent me a text and said ‘are you going on Piers’ show?’

“I said ‘yes’ and he said ‘that guy is boring’ you’ll have to drink some Marley Coffee.

“So I said ‘OK’, I’m going to drink some Marley coffee for you.”

Lewis also claimed he would have beaten prime Tyson as he is a ‘five-dimensional fighter’.

The pair squared off in the ring in 2002 and Lewis won by knockout in the eighth round after an explosive build-up.

Tyson is now just days away from his comeback fight against Roy Jones Jr.

He has insisted he feels ‘better than ever physically and mentally’ after 15 years of retirement.
