Chelsea target Anel Ahmedhodzic is being ‘blocked’ from making £6.9m transfer, claims player’s fuming father

CHELSEA’S attempts to sign Anel Ahmedhodzic from Malmo are being blocked, according to his father.

Ahmedhodzic, 21, has caught the eye of the Blues who have been monitoring his performances along with a host of other European clubs.

It is said that PSV Eindhoven and AC Milan are also interested in the Bosnian full-back and have sent scouts to watch him play.

Ahmedhodzic’s father Mirsad believes that Chelsea are willing to prise his son away from the Swedish club for a fee of £6.9million.

But he thinks the deal is being blocked by his son’s representative Markus Rosenberg who refuses to listen to their offers.

He said: “He’s [Rosenberg] not doing his job. He has told Marina [Granovskaia] at Chelsea that Anel is not going there.

“He wants to go abroad after the season finishes.

“He also believes that Italian agent Fredrico Pastorelli has been in talks with several club across Europe to make a deal happen for Ahmedhodzic.

“Markus hasn’t arranged this, he doesn’t have the contacts. I have tried to inform Markus that Pastorello wants to cooperate with him.

Ahmedhodzic Sr’s tirade against Rosenberg continued on social media, where he accused Rosenberg of driving a wedge between him and his son.

In a post on Malmo’s Facebook page he said that the agent ‘separates the child from the father and the mother for money.’

But the former Nottinhgam Forest ace isn’t appreciative of his father’s public outbursts and has accused him of not supporting him or his career.

Speaking to Kvallspoten he said: “I can start by saying that I am very disappointed.

“To write such things on social media and call other people idiots, not to support me.

“I have always felt a love for him. But I have not felt any support, he has not supported me in the right way.

“Especially not now when things are going so well for me.

“I focus on my matches and my football, nothing else. I try to be as humble as I can, I try to do everything in a positive way, I try to be mature in my answers and my thoughts.

“But as you can see. My dad’s not there. He writes various things, especially on Facebook.

“This is not the first time he has done so. He was also involved when I played in Nottingham Forest, he wrote in some forums there and it has always affected me negatively. I have always received criticism for it.”
