LEWIS HAMILTON extended his record to a sensational 93 F1 wins as his team Mercedes picked up the constructors’ championship at the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix.
It was Mercedes’ SEVENTH consecutive constructors’ title.

Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes celebrated an unprecedented SEVENTH consecutive constructors title.
Hamilton won the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix at Imola in Italy to edge him closer to his own seventh world title.
DAN THE MAN
Daniel Ricciardo spilled the champers on that moment with Lewis Hamilton.
He told Sky Sports F1: “I was about to drink a beautiful fresh one and I heard Lewis go ‘take the other shoe off’.
“I was surprised because a few years ago he said he would never do it – even if I offered him.
“But 2020 is the year of the strange.”

Daniel Ricciardo said on Sky Sports F1: “It was a bizarre one. I got into fourth off the start.
“And I felt that was the best we could do with the three in front.
Perez had really good pace, he passed through the pit sequence.
“I’m not sure what happened to Max [Verstappen] but that put us in the fight.
“Two podiums in two places, it was good fun.”
RICCIARDO’S RADIO

That is seven straight victories for Mercedes in the constructors’ championship.

LANCE STROLL SENDS A MECHANIC FLYING
He stops for tyres and knocks the front jackman flying.
He says: “sorry about that, brakes are cold”
GEORGE RUSSELL CRASHES
Behind the safety car he was warming his tyres, accelerated and slammed into the barrier. He is ok, but he is out when he could have been in the points.
SAFETY CAR OUT
Plenty of pitstops.
Hamilton stops for tyres and will be wary of the restart, as Bottas will be right behind him.

HARDLUCK FOR VERSTAPPEN
TV replays show that something did break in the rear of his Red Bull.
He has struggled in Italy this year.

Has been complaining of a headache in his Haas.

The Alfa Romeo driver is now on his 45th lap on the same set of medium tyres.
He still has to stop.
