Solskjaer odds-on to be sacked by CHRISTMAS and second favourite to be NEXT boss axed after Man Utd’s drubbing vs Spurs

MANCHESTER UNITED boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is odds-on to be sacked by the club before Christmas following the defeat against Tottenham.

The 47-year-old is already under huge pressure after just three Premier League games in which the Red Devils have lost twice.

Sunday’s embarrassing 6-1 loss against Spurs at Old Trafford has left United in 16th place.

Incredibly, United have conceded a whopping 11 goals in the Premier League this season – the second highest in the top-flight.

And after three dismal performances this term, Ladbrokes have Solskjaer at 8/13 to be sacked before Christmas.

The former Molde gaffer is also 1/2 to be given the axe before the end of the campaign.

Solskjaer is also the second favourite in the Premier League to lose his job next.

Fulham boss Scott Parker is the favourite at 11/8 with the Cottagers losing all four of their outings back in the big time.

And he is swiftly followed by Solskjaer, who is 7/2, with Sean Dyche next up at 6/1.

Solskjaer himself lamented his side’s performance against Spurs, as he said: “At 2-1 we were still in the game, after the red card everything went wrong.

  • Scott Parker – 11/8
  • Ole Gunnar Solskjaer – 7/2
  • Sean Dyche – 6/1
  • David Moyes – 10/1
  • Frank Lampard – 14/1

“You don’t win games by making individual mistakes, errors and a performance like that.

“It is embarrassing, I hold my hand up, it is my fault. It is not Manchester United.

“It is not about getting players in but who is here. Today is the worst. I can’t say any more than that.

“When you are 2-1 down you are in with a chance, 3-1 down a minute later is hard. At 4-1 down it is about character and personality.

“We had to close their avenues to goal, but we didn’t come out with any aggression. There are a lot of wrongs today. We need to look at everything.”
