GIANLUIGI BUFFON is only star from Pele’s “Fifa 100” list of the greatest footballers ever who is still playing.
In 2004, the Brazilian legend, now 79, listed his top 100 players of all-time to celebrate Fifa’s 100th anniversary.

Incredibly, just ONE of those players is still going – with that honour going to Juventus legend Buffon.
The evergreen Italian goalkeeper, 42, kicked-off his professional career at Parma 25 YEARS ago.
In 1995, Buffon burst on to the scene as a fresh-faced 17-year-old.
After six stunning years at Parma, Buffon would go on to become arguably the greatest goalkeeper of all time with a 17-year stay at Juventus.
A quick season at Paris Saint-Germain followed, before his return to the Old Lady last summer.
Still going to this day, Buffon is the one player out of Pele’s 100 best-ever to have not retired.

Buffon holds that honour by himself after Turkish former Newcastle star Emre Belozoglu hung up his boots earlier this year, aged 39.
But Emre wasn’t the only somewhat surprising name on the Fifa 100… with Liverpool bad-boy El-Hadji Diouf making the cut.
To put that into context, greats such as Jairzinho and even 1966 World Cup final hat-trick hero Geoff Hurst did NOT make the list.
