Fans go crazy for RB Leipzig boss Julian Nagelsmann’s snazzy suit… but can’t believe McManaman has audacity to comment

PSG’S three-piece attack and brilliant off-the-cuff football tore RB Leipzig apart in the Champions League semi-final… and there was a tailor woe off the pitch too for the Germans’ boss.

Julian Nagelsmann’s snazzy suit glared even more than the floodlights – but TV pundit Steve McManaman was also stitched up on social media for having the cheek to point it out.

McManaman was in the “Spice Boys” Liverpool side who infamously wore white Giorgio Armani suits for the 1996 FA Cup final, when Manchester United completed a domestic double with a 1-0 win.

So it was no surprise the former England winger was told to button it by armchair critics after he noted Nagelsman’s grey check, tweedy number – which was likened on Twitter to an “entire footballer’s washbag” and a “DFS couch called Vienna or something”.

Social media was just as quick to condemn Macca.

One fan posted: “The audacity of Steve McManaman throwing shade on Nagelsmann’s suit.”

And another called his ’96 attire “Nagelsmann’s sideline suit”.

With PSG winning 3-0 to reach their first Champions League final, Leipzig’s lack of resistance late on was the perfect fit for the French champions as it enabled them to ease down ahead of Sunday’s final against either Bayern Munich or Lyon.

And indeed Leipzig faded as powerfully as many viewers hope Nagelsmann’s outfit does.

One said: “As much as PSG have been brilliant, Leipzig have not turned up. Part of me likes ot blame that on Nagelsmann’s horrific suit.”
