Jose Mourinho jokingly calls Kolo Toure fat before Tottenham vs Leicester leaving Cesc Fabregas in hysterics

JOSE MOURINHO has cheekily joked about Kolo Toure’s weight prior to Tottenham’s clash with Leicester City.

The former Arsenal and Man City defender was greeted by Mourinho as he arrived pitchside at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, in his role as assistant manager to Brendan Rodgers at Leicester City.

After the now-customary fist-bump – and with broad smiles on the pair’s faces – the Spurs boss, 57, cheekily tapped the Ivorian’s stomach.

The duo shared a laugh, before Foxes manager Rodgers arrived on the scene.

And as he did so, Mourinho pointed at Toure’s belly again, with Rodgers also seeing the funny side.

The managers go back a long way, with Rodgers having been on Chelsea’s staff during Mourinho’s glittering first spell at Stamford Bridge between 2004 and 2007.

After sharing a fist-bump themselves, they couldn’t resist a little pre-match cuddle.

Watching on from home, Cesc Fabregas was in hysterics at his former manager Mourinho’s joke.

The Spaniard tweeted: “Jose telling Kolo Toure he’s got a bit fat. Amazing”.

Toure, 39, never played under Mourinho during his illustrious career, but the pair appear to enjoy a friendly relationship.

The former City defender was an unused substitute in Rodgers and Mourinho’s most famous clash back in 2014.

With Liverpool seemingly marching towards the title, Chelsea frustrated and stifled the Reds, pouncing on a Steven Gerrard slip on their way to a 2-0 win.

But it appears there are no hard feelings, as the management teams joked together pre-match in North London today.
