MANCHESTER CITY are expected to give Liverpool a traditional Guard of Honour tonight when the clubs meet.
But Reds manager Jurgen Klopp has said the new Premier League champions do not need one… so do City have to?

Do clubs have to give a Guard of Honour?
Clubs do NOT have to give a Guard of Honour, but choose to do so to show respect for the new champions.
It is not compulsory, but is instead an agreement between the clubs.
A Guard of Honour is not a rule in the Premier League regulations.
What have the manager’s said?
Pep Guardiola: “Of course we are going to do it. We are going to do the guard of honour, of course.
“Always we receive Liverpool when they come to our house in an incredible way. They cannot complain and, of course, we are going to do it because they deserve it.”
Jurgen Klopp: “I’m not sure if I’ve ever had one. It was a long time ago in Germany. I don’t know if it’s a tradition in Germany.
“It’s a nice gesture – 100 per cent.
“I don’t need it, to be honest. We go there to play a football game and win a football game.
‘We don’t celebrate a thing that happened a week before.’
