PAUL MERSON thinks Harry Kane could spend some of his summer mulling over his Tottenham future.
And the Sky Sports pundit reckons Kane will have “a serious think” about leaving Spurs exit because of Jose Mourinho’s preference for a defensive style of play.

Kane, 26, made his first Premier League start on Friday following six months out of action with an injured hamstring.
And the England skipper, who was raring to return, appeared to be a bit rusty during Spurs 1-1 draw against Manchester United.
Arsenal legend Merson reckons Kane could become a lonely frontman up top under Mourinho.
And the former Gunners star believes The Special One’s defensive tactics could affect the England forward’s goalscoring stats.
Merson told Soccer Saturday: “When Jose took the job I worried for Harry Kane.
“He played under [Mauricio] Pochettino and Tottenham had a go wherever they went.
“There were goals, crosses, shots – he’s going to be playing up front on his own and it’s going to be hard work.
“In the end, he’s trying to hit 60 yard passes just to get involved in the game, and that’s not Harry Kane.

Kane, who scored 32 times in 45 Three Lions appearances, has fuelled gossip about a potential Spurs departure.
In March the striker was quoted as saying that he might not stay at the North London club “for the sake of it”.
Spurs are due to face West Ham on Tuesday in their second game following the Premier League’s return after the Covid-19 hiatus.
And Kane and his team-mates will be hoping for a better result than their draw against Man United which left them eighth in the table.
I think he’ll have a serious think at the end of the season. I don’t see him getting 25, 30 goals next season the way Jose will want to play.

On Kane’s performance, Merson added: “He’s definitely not fit; they played virtually with 10 men. I can’t remember how many times he touched the ball in the whole game.
“But I think he’ll have a serious think at the end of the season. I don’t see him getting 25, 30 goals next season the way Jose will want to play.
“And he [Mourinho] won’t want to play like he did when he first got in there – 4-2s and 5-3s, no way!”
