CRISTIANO RONALDO is a ten as a person, has a big heart and is always ready to help, according to former Real Madrid team-mate Luka Modric.
Los Blancos midfielder Luka Modric gushed about the personality of his former colleague.
Cristiano Ronaldo has been lauded by his old team-mate Luka Modric
The pair shared a dressing room at the Bernabeu for six seasons before Ronaldo moved to Juventus in 2018 for £99million.
The Croatian admitted the Galacticos had missed their former Portuguese superstar since his departure from the Spanish capital.
He told Gazzetta dello Sport: “Talking about [Ronaldo’s ability] seems trivial to me: he is among the best ever.
“We missed his goals and character at Real: Cristiano always wants to win, he motivated us and made us react.
“As a person then he is a 10 – he has a big heart and is always ready to help those in need.”
Ex-Spurs maestro Modric previously revealed how Ronaldo’s compatriot Jose Mourinho left the forward on the “verge of tears”.
The explosive blow-up occurred in 2013 when Tottenham manager Mourinho was at the helm in Madrid and accused his star player of failing to track back.
Modric told Corriere dello Sport: “The two fought for a long time on the field. After returning to the locker room at half-time, I saw Ronaldo desperate, on the verge of tears.”
Ronaldo returned to action with current side Juve against AC Milan in the Coppa Italia semi-final second leg on Friday.
But he fluffed his lines from the penalty spot just fifteen minutes in and is said to be “furious” at his failure to convert from 12 yards.
Despite stumbling to a 0-0 draw, the Bianconeri progressed on away goals and Ronaldo is hoping to make amends when his side take on Napoli in the final on Wednesday.
