The report adds that the 57-year-old plans to make the date official on May 28 when he relays the updated fixture list to the top-two divisions.
Sevilla sporting director Monchi, as quoted by Football Espana, said: “There is no better way for LaLiga to return than this derby.
“It will be one more incentive, as we are all looking forward to football returning and that first match will be magnificent.”
With players returning to training in groups of ten this week, LaLiga chiefs are confident of commencing the corona-hit campaign next month.
On the back of the Bundesliga’s success last weekend, league organisers have drawn up a highly detailed plan to ensure safety is paramount.
That involve having a maximum of 197 people inside the stadium on matchday with players and officials tested 24 hours before their fixture.
Barcelona held a two-point lead over rivals Real Madrid when play was suspended in March, with 11 games left to play.
But Los Blancos boss Zinedine Zidane is optimistic his team can finish the season with some silverware.
He told Real Madrid TV: “We have to think positively.
“The players see that there are 11 games left (in LaLiga) and they want to finish strongly in order to win a trophy. It’s in the DNA of the club.”
