ARSENAL are reportedly set to rival Everton in the race to land Juventus misfit Adrien Rabiot.
The 25-year-old – who joined the Old Lady last summer after running his contract down at Paris Saint-Germain – looks set to leave the Serie A side after just 24 games.
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is keen to partner Matteo Guendouzi with Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot
Manchester United are also believed to be interested in luring the Frenchman to the Premier League, with the player keen to play in England.
And such is his desire to leave Juventus, Rabiot is said to have gone on strike in France and is refusing to return to Turin after being left unhappy over his £7million pay-cut.
According to French outlet Le10 Sport, Maurizio Sarri believes the midfielder’s wages do not justify his role in his side and is actively looking to offload him.
The report adds that both Arsenal and Everton have registered an interest and are in discussions with Juve over a summer deal.
Gunners boss Mikel Arteta is keen to pair Rabiot with his countryman Matteo Guendouzi in the centre of his midfield, with the French pair boasting similar skillsets.
But Everton could have a slight advantage because boss Carlo Ancelotti worked with the star at PSG and has his sights set on a reunion.
It is claimed that either club will be expected to pay around £26.8million to land Rabiot, who is under contract at the Allianz Stadium until 2023.
Both clubs are understood to be in competition with the Red Devils, with Rabiot to potentially be involved in a swap deal for Paul Pogba.
Rabiot – who was linked with a move to Tottenham earlier in the season – was denied a loan move to Arsenal back in January.
