BARCELONA target Neymar will not be leaving Paris Saint-Germain this summer.

That’s according to the Brazilian’s agent, who claims the coronavirus crisis has made a significant impact on finances in football.

Neymar ditched Barcelona for PSG in 2018 for a world-record £198million fee.

The versatile forward has since scored 69 goals in 80 games while winning three consecutive Ligue 1 titles.

But it was reckoned Neymar was angling for a return to the Nou Camp, where he forged a ferocious partnership in attack with Lionel Messi.

During his four years at Barcelona, Neymar scored 105 times in 186 outings.

He also won two La Liga titles, three Copa del Reys and the 2015 Champions League.

And it was understood Barcelona were also keen on re-signing Neymar after seeing replacements in Philippe Coutinho, Ousmane Dembele and Antoine Griezmann all fail to fill his boots.

However, Neymar will no longer be leaving the Parc des Princes after the outbreak of coronavirus earlier this year.

Claiming that the football economy is set for a huge wake-up call, his agent Wagner Ribeiro said: “I think Neymar will stay at PSG because the market is difficult

“The economic world of football will change.”

However, oil-rich PSG could still make some big-name signings this summer.

And it’s reckoned Juventus superstar Cristiano Ronaldo is in their sights after an outrageous hint from owner Nasser Al-Khelaifi earlier this month.

After comparing Ronaldo to PSG legends Zlatan Ibrahimovic and David Beckham, Al-Khelaifi said: “He remains motivated by this desire to improve every day and he always pushes his limits.

“I admire this relentless will, he is a great example for all athletes of the future.”
