THOMAS MULLER felt the full wrath of furious Bayern Munich fans after he stole Serge Gnabry’s goal – only to be ruled out for offside.
The Germany striker stuck a leg out to knock in the former Arsenal man’s header in the 19th minute.

But there was really no need to, with the ball already having beaten Union Berlin keeper Rafal Gikiewicz.
The goal originally stood until it went to VAR, when Muller was clearly shown in an offside position.
It mattered little with Robert Lewandowski scoring from the spot in the 40th minute of a game they totally dominated in everything but score.
But that did not stop watchers from venting their anger at Muller.
One said: “Of course I have Serge Gnabry first goalscorer. Of course piece of s*** Muller tries to steal it offside.”
A fellow user wrote: “Glad that Munich goal was disallowed, Muller had no need to try and steal the goal.”
Another comment read: “Our Bundesliga bet of the day could have come in after just 15 minutes with Serge Gnabry heading the ball into the net but Thomas Muller tried to steal the goal as it was going into an empty net and was ruled offside!”
And it was Lewandowski who put Bayern in the driving seat.
Without ever hitting top gear, 31-year-old goal-machine purred back into action again yesterday, stroking home the first-half penalty which restored Bayern Munich’s four point lead at the top of the Bundesliga.

Incredibly it clocked up Lewandowski’s 40th goal in all competitions this season – for a FIFTH successive season.

Because Hansi Flick’s distinctly ring-rusty Bayern looked in danger of grinding to a halt until Lewan-goalski’s timely intervention from the penalty spot five minutes before half-time gave them some wriggle-room.
The Pole actually created his own luck when his low cross into Union Berlin’s box caused the unsighted Nevan Subotic into a rash slash at the ball which sent Leon Goretzka tumbling to the turf.
It was a stonewall penalty and there was never any doubt who would take it as ‘you-know-who,’ performed a little hop, skip and jump routine before casually rolling the ball beyond his Polish international teammate Rafal Gikiewicz.

Union Berlin fans must have cursed their luck after waiting patiently for 54 years to make it to the Bundesliga – only to be locked out of their first home game against mighty Bayern Munich.
But in truth they didn’t miss much, although Bayern might have found it even more difficult against the Bundesliga new-boys had they had been backed by a full-house of boisterous home fans.
