A post on the Team Adebayor social media account, thought to be run by his representatives, revealed a luxury black and gold Rolls Royce inside an impressive garage.

Two 4×4 Mercedes, a Range Rover, a BMW sports car and two Porsche off-roaders are joined by another Mercedes hatchback and a Merc people carrier to make up the incredibly expensive collection.

Many of the vehicles have personalised number plates in reference to Adebayor’s full name – Sheyi Emmanuel Adebayor.

The caption read: “Monday Motivation.

“This video is not a message to tell you, ‘SEA has made it’. But rather to say, ‘You can do it too!’.

“All you need to do is believing in yourself and keep working even when no one is watching. Tag a friend who needs to see this.”

Adebayor has not been afraid to flaunt his wealth to his followers and is known for gifting Ghanaian comedian Funny Face cars on two occasions.

I’m sorry that people compare me to Eto’o and Drogba by asking me why I don’t have a foundation or why I don’t donate.”

As Togo’s most famous footballing export by far, holding the African country’s record for caps and goals, many hoped the 36-year-old would contribute in the pandemic.

However Adebayor, who has helped out a variety of charitable causes back home in the past, staunchly refused to donate this time.

He stated: “For those who say that I do not donate, let me be very clear, I really do not donate. This is very simple.

“I do what I want to do, eat the food I want, and this is the most important. Then, there will be those who criticise me for not having established a charity in Togo.

“But it seems that I brought the coronavirus to Togo, it is very unfortunate, but this is the case and what happened in the country.

“I’m sorry that people compare me to Samuel Eto’o and Didier Drogba by asking me why I don’t have a foundation or why I don’t donate, as if I was the one who brought the coronavirus to Togo…

“I am Emmanuel Adebayor and I will always do what I want to do.”

Adebayor is thought to be spending the pandemic in Togo having temporarily left Paraguay, where he turns out for Asuncion club Olimpia.
